Troopers were dispatched to the stretch of the interstate shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, where there was a report of a car that struck a pedestrian between exits 70 and 69 in Old Saybrook. The victim, Killingworth resident Richard Dupre, Jr., 51, was hit by a 1997 Jeep driven by Clinton resident Andrew Sikorowicz, while Dupre was in the right center lane of the interstate, police said. The crash took place around 7:39 p.m. Sunday in the area of Exit 64 in Westbrook when the driver of a 1978 Jeep traveling south, swerved hard to the left causing the vehicle to roll over and strike the median, said Connecticut State Police.
