Hit-Run Crash Leaves Pedestrian Critical, Ocean County Prosecutor Says Authorities in Ocean County are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian seriously injured. The male victim was trying to cross Route 9 at First Street in a marked crosswalk around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, June 16 when he was struck by a white sedan heading north, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said. The white sedan continued northbound on Route 9 and left the scene. The incident occurred in Hartford around 8:30 p.m., Thursday, May 30, in the 99 New Britain Ave area. According to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police, William Jemison, age 38, of Hartford, was found by officers responding to a report of a fight.
