Orange County Man Nabbed For Violating Order Of Protection
An Orange County man is facing a contempt charge after allegedly violating an Order of Protection in the Hudson Valley over the weekend, police said. New York State Police troopers received a complaint of an Order of Protection violation from a victim in Pleasant Valley, who reported that Florida, N.Y. resident Nicholas Skelly, 28 had been in violation of a duly served Order of Protection. State Police arrested Skelly on March 9 and charged him with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. More than a dozen Hudson Valley motorists were among 28 busted by New York State Police troopers this week for drinking and driving on local roadways. State and local law enforcement agencies have made a concerted effort to curtail impaired drivers in the Hudson Valley as part of a drinking and driving crackdown throughout the state. Monticello Motorist Involved In Crash Among Four Locals Charged With DWI
Four motorists in Orange County were among nine cited for driving while impaired in the Hudson Valley over the holiday season. Monticello resident James Rodriguez, 42, was arrested by state police on Dec. 19 after being involved in a motor vehicle crash in Mamakating. During the investigation into the crash, troopers determined that Rodriguez was driving while impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
