Luis Beltran Yanez-Cruz died Tuesday, Jan. 6 at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Indio after being admitted for heart-related issues, Immigrations and Customs Enforcement said. Yanez was transferred to the hospital while at Imperial Regional Detention Facility in Calexico for evaluation of chest pain, ICE said.
