Bethlehem Woman Dies Weeks After House Fire: Coroner
A woman injured in a Bethlehem house fire last month has died from her injuries, officials announced on Friday, May 8.
Christine L. Garganta, 50, of Bethlehem, was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
Her death was ruled an accident caused by complications of inhalation of products of combustion from the fire, the coroner said.
The fire happened in the 2100 block of Princeton Avenue at approximately 8:17 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, authorities said.

At 8:14 a.m., officers responded to a crash between a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder and a Delsea Middle School bus at Coles Mill Road and Williamstown Road, after the Pathfinder failed to yield at the posted stop sign and collided with the bus, Franklin Township police said.

A six-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike left three drivers injured in Bergen County, authorities said.
Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash at 9:07 a.m. on the New Jersey Turnpike north at milepost 117.1 in Ridgefield, Bergen County, according to New Jersey State Police Tpr. II Christopher Postorino.
