At 6 p.m., the man exited his vehicle and entered the Sonic at 573 Spring St. to pick up food, Elizabeth police said. Upon returning, he observed an unknown man stealing his vehicle, police said. The man opened the driver’s door, at which point the suspect pushed him out of the vehicle and ran him over while fleeing, police said. The man sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized, police said.
