50,000+ Lose Power In Maryland As Storms Pound Region, BGE Says
More than 50,000 residents in Maryland were without power on Thursday amid the ongoing storms rolling through the region.
Crews were working around the clock on June 19 to repair more than 800 active outages that were impacting nearly 55,000 customers, according to Baltimore Gas & Electric.

A man is in custody in Virginia after allegedly shooting someone he knew during a deadly argument earlier this month in Maryland, police announced.
Aaron Zavier Jefferson, 33, of Upper Marlboro, has been charged with murder in the shooting death of 31-year-old Dequan Clinkscale, of Capitol Heights, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.
On Saturday, June 7, at approximately 4:40 a.m., officers were called to the 400 block of Warfield Drive for the report of an unresponsive man in a parking garage.

A deadly shooting inside a Prince George’s County apartment has left one man dead, another fighting for his life, and a suspect behind bars, police said.
James Stewart, 35, of Upper Marlboro, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with Tuesday's double shooting that killed Myandre McBride, 32, of Suitland, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.
Just after 12:30 p.m. on June 3, officers responded to the 5600 block of Regency Park Court in Suitland for reports of gunfire. They found McBride and a second man shot inside an apartment.
