Two women from New York were arrested on organized retail theft charges after police say they were caught stealing thousands of dollars in merchandise from stores inside the Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus on Monday, Dec. 15.
Jenai D. Crawford, 25, of Yonkers, NY, and Shanique M. Roberts, 30, of Brooklyn, NY, were seen making multiple trips between a white 2024 Nissan Rogue with South Carolina registration and the mall around 1:40 p.m., Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti said.

A 48-year-old North Bergen man was arrested and charged with stealing a car and a computer, the same day he was arrested for stealing from a tip jar at a deli, authorities in Mt Olive announced Monday, Nov. 17.
On Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 11:30 p.m., officers observed an unoccupied Hyundai Sonata running in the parking lot of the Delta gas station, Mount Olive police said. The vehicle had been stolen out of North Bergen, police said.

A 29-year-old Jersey City man was arrested and charged after he was found to be in possession of multiple controlled substances while riding a scooter on Tuesday, Oct. 28, authorities said.
