Alexa Dubiel, North Jersey Artist, Clothing Model Dies At 30 Alexa Lee Dubiel, a 30-year-old Ringwood resident, died on Friday, Sept. 20, according to her obituary from the Kimak Funeral Home website. Alexa, formerly of Ridgefield Park, was an artist, who modeled clothes for RevMatch and participated in a campaign to be Inked Magazine's 2022 cover girl, her Instagram page show. She is being remembered for her artistic talent, love of animals and going fishing with her dad and going to the beach with her mom, according to her obituary. Water Main Break Floods Portion Of Route 17 In Paramus A water main break flooded a portion of Route 17 in Paramus on Friday, Sept. 27 around noon. Veolia Water responded to the scene to mitigate the leak, and the right lane of Route 17 South will be closed until further notice, Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti said. As a result, the Chipotle and the Ashley Furniture complex have been temporarily closed. Water has been flowing into the driveway and undermining parts of the highway, however, Veolia has shut the water, the chief said. Michael Kormanik, 'Sandwich Artist' At Family's Popular Bergen County Deli, Dies The death of Michael John Kormanik, a Paramus resident and well-known employee at his family's Dumont deli, died on Tuesday, Sept. 24, according to his obituary on the Shook Funeral Home website. The 35-year-old car enthusiast a self-proclaimed "sandwich maker" Denaros Deli in Dumont, which his father Ivan purchased in 2004. Driver Nabbed For DWI While En Route To Pick Up Drunk Friend In Northern Westchester A patron of a local bar in Northern Westchester called the wrong friend to come pick him up, police said. The head-scratching incident began at around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, when a Westchester County Police officer stopped a car driving erratically in Mount Kisco on Lieto Drive. Woman Fatally Struck While Walking On Parkway In Westchester A woman died at a hospital after being hit by a car on a parkway in Westchester, police said.
