A man brandishing a knife was shot by police in Egg Harbor Township using less lethal ammunition on Friday, June 12, authorities said.
At 12:52 a.m.. officers responded to Ivins Avenue in Cardiff after a man threatened his wife and daughter with a knife, Egg Harbor Township police said. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the man, who was standing outside still holding a knife, screaming at his wife, who was locked inside the house, police said.

NJ Woman Left Baby, Dog Unattended In Vehicle At TJ Maxx: Police
A 39-year-old Keansburg woman was arrested and charged after she left a baby and a dog unattended in a vehicle on Thursday afternoon, June 11, authorities said.
At 3:43 p.m., officers responded to a TJ Maxx on Route 35 and found a one-year old baby boy crying and sweating in the backseat of a vehicle, Middletown Township police said.
The baby was brought to a patrol car to cool off in an air conditioned vehicle, police said.
Christine Joubert, the baby's mother, approached the vehicle, asking about her dog, which had been left in the vehicle but jumped out of an open window, police said.

NJ Man Killed In Corvette Crash After Striking Tree: Bridgewater PD
A 27-year-old Randolph man was killed in a crash in Bridgewater on Wednesday, June 10, authorities said.
At 3:07 a.m., Noah Maitland was driving a 1979 Corvette westbound on Meadow Road when it failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, drove up an embankment, struck a tree and came to rest in the woods, Bridgewater police said. Maitland was ejected from the vehicle, police said.
Maitland was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The passenger, a 25-year-old Bridgewater man, had non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Evicted Tenant Kills Landlord, Himself Hours After Separate South Jersey Shooting: Prosecutor
A man who had recently been evicted from a South Jersey home returned to the home to kill the landlord before taking his own life less than a mile away, just after a separate shooting in a nearby town on Wednesday, June 10, authorities said.
Lumberton police responded to a report of a shooting on Curry Court at approximately 4:15 p.m., where arriving officers found Damon Nesmith, 53, dead inside the home, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw and Lumberton Township Police Chief Anthony D. Nippins. Nesmith was pronounced dead at the scene.

Seven people were shot in Trenton late Tuesday night, June 10, authorities said.
At 10:30 p.m., officers police responded to Centre and Furman streets near Route 1 after receiving numerous ShotSpotter detections, and found several people with gunshot wounds, Trenton police said.
Two teenagers, one boy and one girl, are among the victims, a 20-year-old, 24-year-old, 29-year-old, 30-year-old and a 36-year-old, police said.. All were transported to a nearby hospital, police said.
