After crashing into a tree, a 39-year-old Connecticut man allegedly did not call for help for nearly an hour as his father-in-law died from his injuries, authorities announced on Thursday, Dec. 11.
Ronald Rogers, of Voluntown, is charged with manslaughter, cruelty to persons, and evading responsibility resulting in death in the Dec. 2024 crash in Griswold, Connecticut, State Police said.

A 29-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a Camden County crash Saturday evening, Dec. 6, authorities confirmed.
Kody L. Reilly, of Stratford, was heading from Route 130 onto I-76 when he lost control, ran off the roadway, and struck a guardrail and then a telelphone pole around 7:30 p.m. at Exit 1D in Gloucester City, New Jersey State Police Trooper II Christopher Postorino said.
Reilly died as a result of the crash, which remains under investigation.
